WALKING ON WATER

Teaching & Equipping Centre

“Equipping You For Life And Ministry”

Walking on Water Teaching & Equipping Centre was established July 5th, 2009. It is a Registered Charity # 833.

Rev. Linda P. Jones and Minister Oliver Jones both give sound leadership to this ministry. They have been involved in ministry for well over thirty years. Reverend Linda holds a Diploma in Theology from the Barbados Bible College, a Bachelor in Theology from Christian International, Santa Rosa Beach Florida, and a Master of Practical Theology from Master’s International University of Divinity Evansville, Illinois.

They also draw upon the counsel and experience of several reputed ministers and teachers in the island and the region.

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…"

WOWTEC is a:

  1. A Teaching Ministry – ‘to teach’ is to impart knowledge; to impart instruction; to instil doctrine into one; to explain or expound a thing…  Teaching can be accomplished through audio, visual, kinetic or through all three methods working together.

  2. And Equipping Ministry – ‘to equip’ from the Greek ‘katartismos’ which means to complete thoroughly; to repair or to adjust. It carries the meaning of putting in order, setting things right, restoring to its proper place, making straight, setting a bone… In the classical Greek, the compound word ‘katartismos’ had three meanings and uses.

  3. That of setting in order a city which had been torn apart by factions and   schisms.

  4. To thoroughly prepare someone or something for any given task or purpose. It referred to outfitting a ship for sailing.  The Church is like a ship, and the governmental ministries are responsible to outfit and equip her for her mission.

  5. The preparing an army for battle.

We believe that through sound revelatory teaching, based on the Word of God, the body of Christ is set in order, prepared for ministry and for battle.
