STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe

  • The Holy Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God, and the final authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. (2Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • There is one God existing as three persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  • After creation, man disobeyed God and since then all men were born in sin and separated from God (Romans 5:12,18)

  • The Lord Jesus Christ is the Saviour of men, conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, and is God and man (Luke 1:26-35, John 1:18, Isaiah.7:14, 9:6)

  • Jesus Christ died, was buried and resurrected on the third day (1Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:24).

  • We can have a personal relationship with God through salvation provided by Jesus Christ. It God’s free gift to man and not a result of works or keeping the law, it is through God’s unearned favor. By admitting we have sinned and believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, and accepting Him as Lord, we can spend eternity with God. (Matthew 3:13-17; Romans 6:4; Ephesians 2:8; 9)

  • In believe in water baptism as demonstrated and taught by Jesus, after one has repented of sin and believed in their heart, as the way to identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6).

  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience at or after salvation, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17).

  • We believe in the distribution and activation of the gifts of the Spirit, which are manifested in the present-day church as it was in the early church. (1Corinthians 12-14).

  • We believe in the Spirit-filled life, this is living a life controlled by the Spirit with the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18-22).

  • The power of God to heal the soul and the body, to work miracles and cast out demons today just as it was done in the Scriptures. (1Corinthians 12:7-11, James 5:14; 3 John 2)

  • In the Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper which is a token of the covenant, Jesus made by giving His body and blood for us. (1Corinthians 11:28-32).

  • The Bible describes hell as a real place. It is a place of suffering and a place of permanent separation from God for those who die without accepting Christ. God’s desire is that no one be separated from Him for eternity, which is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth. (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:12-15; John 3:16-18)

  • In the ascension of Jesus to Heaven and His return to earth for those who have accepted Him as Savior to be with Him for eternity (Acts 1:11; 1Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 9:28).
