Once you confess the name of JESUS you have drawn a line of demarcation. You have declared to the spirit world that this is the name every other name must bow to. This is the name at which every demon must flee. This is the name that every tongue in heaven and earth, even under the earth, must confess that He is LORD! – (Romans 14:11; Philippians 2:10).
No wonder the world hates the name of JESUS. You could say ‘God’, say a ‘great Teacher’, ‘a prophet’ – that is alright but when you say the name ‘JESUS’, you declare that this is the only name, there is not another under heaven by which men must be saved (Acts 4:12).
You anger those who believe their works will save them, that their spiritual knowledge and good deeds will exonerate them. You cut against their pride and self-righteousness.
JESUS means Jehovah saves. It is that name that brings, the rich, the poor, black, white, yellow, red, educated or uneducated… all at the same level – at the foot of the cross!
